Vintage Typewriter

I wish the charm of the "olden days" would come back.
Women would still wear dresses and floppy hats.
Boys would work hard on the farm,
while girls cooked in the kitchen.
When it was time to write a letter,
you wouldn't send an email.
You would sit down to your typewriter. . .
I can imagine the bell ringing,
 and the keys clicking.
To bring some charm into my room,
I added my great-grandmothers typewriter.
I can just imagine the letters that were written on it.
It gives me happy thoughts.
To add my style of "vintage cuteness"  to the typewriter,
I hung a mini banner on it.
I also added wire,
so I could clip pictures to it.
The ribbon created a fun pop of color.
It adds the perfect touch of the "olden times" to my room.
Y'all have fun crafting,
Daisy

  1. Daisy, Thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning. I used to love the ding of the bell and the clack of the keys on my old typewriter! I love your old wire gate too! So creative to add the banner and pics to the old typewriter. Looking forward to more of your entries!

  2. Daisy, I found you today on Cozy Little House. I will be visiting you often. I love the old typewriter. I used a typewriter when I was young but we had electric ones at school. My name is Linda, I live in Georgia. I don't have a blog but I love to read them.
