Crafting Supply Station

My absolute favorite store in the whole entire world is the Paper Source.
It's totally precious.
They sell everything from cute paper to superhero aprons.
They sell owl lunch boxes to stick on mustaches.
The only bad part is,
They don't have one where I live. :(
BUT,
They do have one in New York City,
Which is where I'm headed right now!
This makes for one happy girl!

DIY Headboard on a Tight Budget

I like to laugh at myself.

I laugh at me being the only middle school girl who keeps up with Design Star on HGTV.

I laugh that I get subscriptions to Southern Living, Country Living, and Better Homes and Gardens.

I'm the only 13 year old who's favorite store is Goodwill.

I laugh that I wake up early on Saturday mornings to go yard sale-ing.

I just laugh.

I made this fun headboard with an old yard stick.

I bought it from one of my Goodwill shopping trips:)

Tissue Box Makeover

When I was little,

The hardest question for me to answer was,

"What is you favorite color?"

It was always a mini struggle.

I said blue quite often.

Along with pink.

Sometimes I shook things up and answered with yellow.

Thrift Store Overalls

One of my favorite things to do is dream about my future.

Whether it's how I will decorate my future house,

What college I will attend,

My future job,

My kids,

My wedding,

Or even the type of car I will drive.

Cute Party Drink Idea

Wow.
As I type this,
I am sitting on a 100 degree school bus driving through the hustle and bustle of New York City itself.
I love the Big Apple,
But only certain places.
I prefer the areas surrounding Central Park.
They have a lovely charm to them.

DIY Fabric Strawberry

Today has been frantic.
Loads of laundry.
Cleaning rooms top to bottom.
Packing.
Yet it will all be worth it in the long run.
Tomorrow I will be on my way to the Big Apple for a mission trip!
I have gone for 3 years now,
And the trip just gets better each year.
So for my last post at home,
I'm excited to show y'all my DIY fabric strawberry.

Color Block Painted Crate

Hello.
I really wish I could see you,
So I could talk to you...
Instead of write to you.
I wish we could paint together in the midst of conversation.
I would invite you on to my front porch to sip on Sweet Tea.
It would be lovely,
But as for now,
I will write to you.
Today I will write to you about my color block crate.

DIY Fabric Crayon Caddy

So...

My little sister's birthday is coming up...

And I wanted to make her a cute, homemade present.

I decided on making a fabric caddy for her crayons.

It was all well and good,

Until she walked in on me making it!

I tried to hide it,

But there was no use.

Soooooooooooo,

Long story short,

The soon to be 9 year old was able to get a birthday present early.

Martha Stewart Pom-Pom Flowers

Let me just say,

Thrift shopping with youth group friends is a blast.

Especially when you add a photo shoot on to the end of the shopping trip.

It's fun stuff y'all.

I even bought a pair of overalls.

(Today was pretty great.)

So to top off all the greatness,

I'm excited to share with you my love for martha stewart pom-pom flowers!

3 Ways to Update Clothespins

Whew.

Hold on a second please,

I need to catch my breath.

I have just gotten back from 3 hours of shopping in the mall.

Now I'm trying to regain my leg strength while lounging on my bed.

Ok,

I think I'm good now...

Yesterday,

I figured out 3 easy ways to update my clothespins.

Twine Jar

You forget how warm a hot glue gun gets...

Until you touch the blazing hot glue with your bare fingertips.

Then you remember.

Believe me.

I had this happen several different occasions on this project,

But it was all worth it in the end.

The numb fingers,

The Tingly sensations,

And the pieces of glue dried to your hands all work themselves out in the end.

Vintage Jewelry Box Washi-Tape Holder

I am named after my great-grandmother, Daisy.

I was never able to meet her,

But I heard she was a lovely lady.

Recently,

I was given her jewelry box.

It was full of so much charm.

I wish today's jewelry boxes were made with as much detail as they used to be!

I didn't want to change anything about it,

But I did have a great craft in mind for a vintage jewelry box...

Luckily,

I found one at a yard sale for $1,

So I turned it in to a fun home for my washi-tape!

Chalkboard Closet Door

Happy late 4th y'all!
Unfortunately,
Where I live it was pouring rain.
That meant no fireworks.
No barbecues.
No corn hole games.
It was plain out disappointing.
Thankfully,
We were still able to be grateful for our beautiful, free country.
We are so blessed.
Today, I decided to show y'all my chalkboard door!

Succulent Tea Cup

I want to start out by saying how happy it makes me when I inspire people.
I love scrolling through my Instagram,
and spotting one of my crafts in the background.
It makes my heart happy.
Or when people come up to me at church,
And tell me they recieved inspiration on my blog.
It's just too much fun.
So thank y'all for being so sweet!
I really do appreciate it.
Now on to today's post...
Succulents in tea cups!

Charger DIY

Today has been a good day.
Friends.
Barbecue.
Gardens.
Crafts.
Wildflowers.
It was a fun, full day.
To make the day even better, I 'cute-ified' my iPhone charger!

Sun Hat Makeover

My family wishes for a garden.
The only problem is,
We are never home in the summer.
The garden would die if we weren't there to tend to it.
So to our delight,
Every summer, we tend a garden for some friends while they're on vacation.
My sisters love picking the berries.
I love snapping the green beans.
My mom loves watering,
And my dad loves eating the fresh veggies.
We have a great system going!
So my project today was created around my garden picking theme!
