Fabric Flower Headband

I call my style "vintage cuteness".
(Yes, I made that name up.)
I also like a hint of the hipster look.
I love chevron, the color mint, and burlap.
To fit my playful style,
I made myself a headband.
I call it my "hippie headband."

It is super EASY.
Start out by gathering the supplies...
Supplies:
Fabric
( For a small flower use a 1" piece of fabric at least 12 inches long.
For a larger flower use a 1" piece about 24 inches long.)
Scissors
Hot Glue
Elastic Headband
Felt
To create your fabric strip,
cut a little into the fabric,
and then tear.
Once you have your strip,
you can begin!
(Remember, the length depends on what size you want YOUR flower,
so it probably wont be the same length as my strip!)
Tie a knot at the end of your strip.
Now, begin twisting the fabric, and glue a little as you go along.
...Continue to twist and glue...
Once you like the size of your flower,
cut off the excess fabric.
Leave a little bit of the fabric,
and glue it under the flower.
Cut 2 circles in your felt.
A big circle to fit the bottom of your flower,
and a small circle to attach it to the headband.
Glue the big circle to the bottom of the flower.
Then lay the headband on the big circle,
and hot glue the small circle to it.
You can add more than one flower.
I love how they turn out!
Y'all have fun crafting,
Daisy

  1. You make a lovely hippie, my dear girl! That was me in the seventies, before you were a gleam in your daddy's eye...
