Sweet Stitched Wall Art

This morning I woke up at 5 o'clock,
And couldn't go back to sleep.
Ugh.
Oh well,
To look on the bright side of things,
I got my blog post done early!
I had planned my post for today late yesterday afternoon.
So I got out of bed,
And headed to my front porch swing to start on it.

I love the look of hand sewn anything.
It makes rooms feel cozy.
You can definetly make one yourself!
Its super simple and fun!
Supplies:
-needle and thread
-scissors
-pen
-fabric
-embroidery hoop
Not Shown:
-hot glue gun
-cardboard
Begin by cutting your fabric to fit your embroidery hoop,
Keep extra fabric on the edges.
Fit it on the embroidery hoop.
Next, write or draw the design you want to stich.
Write or draw the design REVERSE on the back,
So it will show up correct on the front.
Start stiching!
When you finish stiching the first letter/design,
tie a knot on the end.
Repeat this process.
After you finish stiching everything,
Cut the cardboard to fit the back of your loop.
Stuff the fabric into the center,
And hot glue it to the edges once you have it pulled tight.
Hot glue the cardboard on.
Once you're finished,
Go hang it up in your room!
It added such a lovely touch to my room!
Y'all have fun crafting,
Daisy

  5. So sweet! And so clever to seal the back with a piece of cardboard. I'd never thought of that!
